Urša Bogataj, local ski jumper, won a gold medal on Olympic games in Peking 2022!
We cannot be prouder on the historic achievement! It’s first Olympic gold for Slovenia in this female sport. Let's not forget that the third place was taken by her friend, Nika Križnar. First time in Slovenian Olympic history we could witness two of our athletes on the same podium.

Urša Bogataj grew up in Briše pri Polhovem Gradcu. A small village in the heart of our destination. As a kid, she loved to jump at the small local ski jumping hill next to Polhov Gradec mansion. Enthusiastic locals are organising ski jumping competition, where anyone with enough guts and a pair of alpine skis could compete. Here she felt in love to the sport – trying her self on the small jump for kids.
