Museum of Post and Telecommunications

The Museum of Post and Telecommunications, part of the Technical Museum of Slovenia, houses two updated permanent collections, one on the history of post and the other on the history of telecommunications, and hosts occasional temporary exhibitions.

It offers you an opportunity to listen to post horn tunes, make a phone call using manual or automatic telephone exchange, and test your knowledge of Morse code. The youngest visitors are welcome to Živa's Corner, where they can learn about history through play and workshops.

The museum's collections tell a story about the history of telecommunications from the earliest message carriers to modern telecommunication devices.

The post horn kept at the Museum of Post and Telecommunication was used in Polhov Gradec at the beginning of the 20th century.
